Windows Media Player not in default programs list
I lost the Media Player on the desktop, found and replaced it.
Now I want to set it as the default program for certain files and it is not listed in my default programs.
How can I get it back there?

Right click on your file you trying to open, go to Open With, Choose Default Program,
Under Recommended Programs should be Windows Media Player, if not click on Other Programs header or click Browse and find wmplayer.exe which should be in Program Files\

Some sites may automatically try start a download or give the appearance that something needs to be installed or updated before the site or video can be seen. Never accept or install anything from any site unless you know what is downloading.
