Fast Solution to Problem: Adding Favorites in Internet Explorer 8 functioning differently-

Adding Favorites in Internet Explorer 8 functioning differently-

Since updating to IE8, adding to my Favorites is working differently.
In IE7, Favorites would remember the last set of Folders you added something to & would keep that & bring that up first when trying to add something new.
Now in IE8, everytime I try
to add, it always defaults to the main FAVORITES folder.
So if I'm adding a lot of new favorites under the same category, one right after the other (example: Folder called "Dogs" within My Favorites) I have to scroll thru to get to the correct folder each
time, because IE8 keeps bringing up main FAVORITES folder, not the "Dogs" folder I either created or added a different Favorite to B-4.
Is there a way to somehow change the preferences to bring it back to behave the same way it did in IE7?? This is taking
a lot of extra time & scrolling.
Thanks.

Per a program manager on the IE team, this change was a legal requirement with which Microsoft had to comply.
We're sorry for the inconveneinece.

You may want to try this in the future:

After a research session, navigate to your Favorites folder on your computer.
It usually sits just under your user account.
(For example, in Windows 7 the path is:
Computer / User Name / Favorites.) Select all the new favorites you want to move to a specific folder.
Drag all those items to that folder.

While this isn't quite as convenient, it does allow a bulk move of all the items from a particular research or other browsing session.
