2.4Gb RAM is usable out of 6Gb installed memory

I recently upgrade my memory (RAM) from 2gb one to 6GB by adding 4Gb one.
When i go on computer properties, i found just 2.46GB is usable.
how can i make the use of the whole 6 GB RAM? Im using Lenovo W500 running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bits.

All 32-bit client versions of Windows (not just XP/Vista/7) have a 4GB
address space (64-bit versions can use much more).
That's the
theoretical upper limit beyond which you can not go.
But you can't use the entire  address space.
Even though you have a
4GB address space, you can only use around 3.1GB of RAM.
That's
because some of that space is used by hardware and is not available to
the operating system and applications.
The amount you can
use varies, depending on what hardware you have installed, but can
range from as little as 2GB to as much as 3.5GB.
It's usually around
3.1GB (in your case a little less than this).
Note that the hardware is using the address space, not the actual
RAM itself.
If you have a greater amount of RAM, the rest of the RAM
goes unused because there is no address space to map it to.

Microsoft Windows Requirements :

• 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
• 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
• 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

This error can be due to some configuration requirements for you system. If your PC hardware is not up to par, then make sure you update where necessary before continuing.
