Counting first or second words in a cell only

I would like to do a count for the first word Dealer or Customer. So Dealer would show up 3 times, customer 1 time.  Can I count Leadership Development?  I know how to count when it is only the words you are trying to count but I do not know how to do the
formula so it only counts how many times Dealer appears.
