Black Screen after boot up. Sony Laptop Windows 7.
Hi, my daughter has a laptop thats less than a year old.
Two days ago, she went to boot it up and now all she has is a black screen where you go to put in your password.
I have run a system repair and it didn't find any errors.
I have went into safe mode
with networking and done several virus and malware checks and found nothing.
The only temporary fix I can do is system restore.
After I do a system restore, it will start normally, BUT after a restart it will go back to the black screen again.
The fan runs
off and on like normal, the mouse cursor will move too.
Now, I am not real computer savvy, but I can follow instructions/directions very well (as long as I know where I am going in the computer) My daughter is a single parent and taking it to a shop (especially
at Christmas doesn't fit into her budget).
So good old mom to the rescue! Any help is appreciated!
