I built my own system here are the specs:

and it's been fine for about 5months now until the 2 days ago when I got my first BSOD on it reading IRQL Less or Not Equal.
I've updated bios, display drivers, some controller drivers and the problem persists.
I've got the minidump files here and I keep
seeing ATAPI.sys in the reports leading me to believe it might be my harddrive.
I'm really not sure what to do at this point I might just reinstall windows.

There were various stop errors reported such as IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, etc.
which may indicate a hardware problem wsuch as with the RAM.
It is interesting that the process that crashed in many of the crashes was the MpCmdRun.exe (related to Microsoft Security Essentials).
So, if you run MSE make sure you have the latest version.
Also, I would suggest, until the system stabilizes, to not install or uninstall the sptd.sys driver which was directly involved in one of the crashes and has been known to cause stability problems on some systems.
The sptd.sys driver is isntalled with such applications as Daemon Tools.

To check for Windows updates

1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Update.
2. In the left pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer.
3. If any updates are found, click Install updates. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
