Temporary login file messed up big time
So one day I turned my computer and it created a temporary login file
I freaked the heck out
And then I resorted to google.
So I end up running regedit and deleting the temporary file over and over again and nothing seemed to be working
So at one point, I delete a profile (there was no other profiles there so I'm guessing it was my actual profile???), but then it says all the files aren't completely deleted.
And afterwards my original profile was considered "obliterated"
So now I'm on this temporary login file (which is treated as if it was a real one) And I can't save ANYTHING without losing it somewhere due to shortcut difficulties.
So the main questions here are:
1.) Are all my files completely gone?
2.) If they ARE somewhere in my computer, then how do I get them back?
A few months leading up to the incident my computer has been running random disk checks so I'm guessing it has to do with that.
Also, I'm never using the power button to shut down my computer ever again.
I've had this Dell Inspiron N4010 for 2 years now and what I have experienced over the past few months really sucks.
Please help

How to Avoid Downloading Malware
Where are you getting the download?
There are malicious people who download valid copies of a popular download, modify the file with malicious software, and then upload the file with the same name. Make sure you are downloading from the developer's web page or a reputable company.
Don't install download manager
Many sites suggest or require you to install an installer or a download manager before allowing you to download a program you may be interested in downloading. These tools almost always cause your computer more problems and may even have malware or other spyware. Avoid any site claiming anything must be installed first before you can continue with your download.
Avoid advertisements on download pages
To help make money and pay for the bandwidth costs of supplying free the software, the final download page may have ads. Watch out for anything that looks like advertisements on the download page. Many advertisers try to trick viewers into clicking an ad with phrases like "Download Now", "Start Download", or "Continue" and that ad may open a separate download.
Cancel or deny any automatic download
Some sites may automatically try start a download or give the appearance that something needs to be installed or updated before the site or video can be seen. Never accept or install anything from any site unless you know what is downloading.
